product description:
Ferromolybdenum is an iron alloy composed of molybdenum and iron, generally containing 50~60% of molybdenum, and is used as an alloy additive in steelmaking. Ferromolybdenum 1 is an alloy of molybdenum and iron. Its main use is as an additive for molybdenum in steelmaking. The addition of molybdenum to the steel can make the steel have a uniform fine-grained structure, and improve the hardenability of the steel, which is conducive to eliminating temper brittleness. In high-speed steel, molybdenum can replace part of tungsten. Molybdenum and other alloying elements are widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. Molybdenum is added to cast iron to increase its strength and wear resistance.
Application range and purpose:
The application of ferromolybdenum lies in the production of ferroalloys depending on the content and range of molybdenum, it is suitable for machine tools and equipment, military equipment, oil refinery tubing, load-bearing components and rotating exercises. Ferromolybdenum is also used in cars, trucks, locomotives, ships, etc. In addition, ferromolybdenum is used in stainless steel and heat resistant steel is employed by synthetic fuels and chemical plants, heat exchangers, generators, oil refining equipment, pumps, turbine tubes, ship propellers, plastics and acid, and storage vessels. Tool steels with a high percentage of iron molybdenum range, used for high speed machining parts, cold work tools, drills, screwdrivers, dies, chisels, heavy castings, balls and large drill bits for rolling mills, rolls, cylinder blocks, piston rings.
