Reference national standard: metal manganese (GB/T 2774-2006)
Electrolytic manganese metal (YB/T 051-2015)
product description:
Commonly used manganese are metal manganese and electrolytic manganese. Metal manganese is a gray-white, hard, brittle, and shiny transition metal. Pure metal manganese is a metal slightly softer than iron, and manganese with a small amount of impurities is hard and brittle, and will oxidize in wet places.
Electrolytic manganese metal refers to the elemental metal obtained by acid leaching from manganese ore, and then sent to the electrolytic cell for electrolysis. Appearance is iron-like, irregular flakes, firm and brittle, one side is bright, the other side is rough, silvery white to brown, silver-gray after processing into powder; easily oxidized in the air, dissolved and replaced in the presence of dilute acid Hydrogen, when slightly higher than room temperature, can decompose water and release hydrogen.
Application range and purpose:
Manganese and manganese alloys are one of the indispensable and important raw materials in iron and steel industry, aluminum alloy industry, magnetic material industry, chemical industry, etc. It is an indispensable additive in the smelting industry. After electrolytic manganese is processed into powder, it is the main raw material for the production of manganese tetroxide. The original magnetic materials widely used in the electronics industry are produced with manganese tetroxide. The aerospace industry requires electrolytic manganese metal.
Due to its high purity and low impurity characteristics, electrolytic manganese metal has been successfully and widely used in various fields such as iron and steel smelting, non-ferrous metallurgy, electronic technology, chemical industry, environmental protection, food hygiene, welding rod industry, aerospace industry and so on.
